CORK
OAK
The owners wanted new landscaping that would reflect the house’s mid-century modern style: Open, light, and Californian with a Japanese influence.
Low planters filled with bamboo act as screens to create outdoor rooms linked by stone paths. Grasses, ferns, and groundcovers form simple planes and masses of greenery. A moss bowl glows above black stones in the entry atrium, and a small fountain adds life to the dining patio.
