A garden setting was created for this new country house and olive orchard, set on eleven acres. Palms, evergreens, and Italian cypresses give summer shade. Drought-tolerant flowering shrubs, vines, and perennials provide color ten months of the year. The pool, patios, and courtyards are set in a band of continuous greenery that links the house to the oak-studded hills.

At the south end of the pool an ‘oasis’ was made, planted with Mediterranean fan palms and a specimen pindo palm.
